Since taking office on 2019, Auditor Faber’s law enforcement team spearheaded investigations that have resulted in numerous criminal charges against public officials. Those cases have led to more than 90 convictions, ranging from a corrupt county sheriff to a local village clerk who stole more than a quarter million dollars.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Faber’s team discovered more than $5 billion in fraud and overpayments within Ohio’s unemployment compensation system. The discovery led to dramatic restructuring within the state agency that oversees the payments.
